The Chateau Ducru-Beaucaillou, is a vineyard of 75 hectares, located in Saint-Julien-Beychevelle in the Gironde. In AOC Saint-Julien, it is ranked second grand cru classification of 1855. The first traces of the area occurred in the thirteenth century. The castle for several centuries will be the property of the family Bergeron until 1720. The castle passes in 1795 under the control of the family Ducru, whose area takes its name. Ducru-Beaucaillou owes its name to the big stones of serious Günz with a thickness of 6 to 8 m
