Petrus

Petrus is a wine of Pomerol wine region near Bordeaux, which he called. Although the wines of Pomerol were never ordered, Petrus is regarded as one of the greatest Bordeaux.
The field Pétrus derives its name from a place called Petrus. First owned by the family Arnaud, the area is partly bought by a libournaise, Ms. Loubat in 1925, then acquired by it in its entirety in 1945. To compete with the great wines of Medoc, Mme Loubat effort to make the best use of its soil. In 1961, Mr. and Mrs. Lacoste Lignac, niece and nephew of Mrs. Loubat inherit the field. A few years later, Mr. Lignac sells its shares at Libourne trader and partner of Pétrus Jean-Pierre Moueix, who has worked for the international reputation of thought (including the publicizing the Kennedy). Since 2001, the estate owned by his son Jean-Francois Moueix and Christian Moueix is, his other son, who manages. The wine is made by the oenologist Jean-Claude Berrouet.
