The avenue George V is an avenue of the 8th arrondissement of Paris long and 730 metres wide by 40 metres. She place de l'Alma to be completed in 99 of the Avenue des Champs-Elysees. Formerly avenue de l'Alma, its present name was given on July 14, 1918 in honour of England's King George V. The avenue George V is one of the most prestigious Paris. There are indeed luxury shops (among the first major couturiers to be installed there, include Hubert de Givenchy who installed the seat of his house at number 3 in 1961), but also luxury hotels, restaurants and nightclubs. The most famous among them are the Hotel George V, famous palace in the capital in Art Deco style, and the Crazy Horse Saloon, one of the most famous cabarets in Paris. The avenue also hosts two embassies, that of China and that of Spain.
