La Rue de Sévigné is a Paris street in the 3rd and 4th arrondissements. The boundary between the two boroughs is marked by the rue des Francs-Bourgeois. Its name comes from Marie-Chantal de Rabutin, Marquise de Sevigne (1626-1696), who lived in the hotel Carnavalet of 1677 until his death. This hotel has since become the Historical Museum of the City of Paris.
