In the very heart of the Marais district in Paris, Rue Debelleyme (3rd district), bears the name of the judge Louis-Mauritius Debelleyme (1787-1862), Prefect of Police under Charles X, who lived for a long time this area. It was merged in 1865, four blocks, to form the street Debelleyme: street Périgueux or Perigord, rue de Limoges, rue de l'Echaudé-au-Marais and rue Neuve-Saint-Francois, called by the Following rue Saint-Francois. Claude Perrault and Carnot lived it. It begins at No. 83 rue de Turenne the particularity and ending on the same street, the rue de Turenne at No. 111. It marks indeed approximate location of the project of Henri IV, semi-circular Place dîte Place de France which was to see the day, shortly after construction of the Place des Vosges. This explains why the surrounding streets are all names of French Provinces (Poitou, Brittany, perch etc.).. It is lined with old houses. A note at No. 5, the door and staircase, the No. 9 a hotel Louis XIII, No. 19 a door and a staircase cloutée Louis XIII, No. 30 an old house with gables.
