Alma-Marceau
The Place de l'Alma called once instead of the Conference. The popular memory has kept no record of that meeting in which Louis XIV had diplomatic and matrimonial alliance with Spain. The current name of this place is borrowed from a river in Crimea which saw the victory of French and British on the Russians in 1854. François Marceau (1769-1796), which s'illustra french general at the Battle of Fleurus.
