Comes from the street and Boulevard de Bercy. It is in a charter of 1134 Louis VI of the Fat that is found traces of the place called in the words of Bercilliis insula. Over the centuries developed the lordship of Bercy with a castle and a vast area covering one third of the town of Bercy. The latter was largely annexed to Paris in 1860. The heirs of the field, the aliénèrent Nicolai, and the castle was demolished. The station opened on 1 March 1909.
