It was inaugurated on February 15, 1930 at extending the line to 10 instead of Italy. A year later, it was incorporated into line 7. Until 1965, this station was called Censier-Daubenton-Hall hides. The hall was built in 1865 on the ruins of the hospital Hundred Girls but was little used. The street Censier replaces a small cul-de-sac overlooking the Rue Mouffetard. He was not chief (headless), which became deformed Sancier, then Censier. The french naturalist Louis Daubenton (1716-1800) collaborated with Buffon for his Natural History. He created the race of merino sheep in 1776. In the thirteenth century, the street was called Daubenton Bouliers the street from then until 1864, the streets of Orleans Saint-Marcel named the important area along it.
