Gambetta
Comes from place Gambetta, which owes its name to Léon Gambetta, french politician. The station was opened on January 25, 1905 as the terminus of the line 3. It is situated north-east of the square, on a loop that goes around the city hall of the 20th, on the streets Belgrand and China. On 27 November 1921, the line is extended to wearing Lilas; station becomes Gambetta station passage. On 27 March 1971, the line is extended to 3 Gallieni. On this occasion, the branch Gambetta - Porte des Lilas becomes line 3a; station, north-east of the square, becomes the terminus (composed of two-lane dead around a wharf central) of this new shuttle. A new station is open to the ways of line 3, west of the square, and its proximity to the station Martin Nadaud led to the abolition of the latter, which does not completely: access west of the new station pass by the former docks.
