The station Line 1 was opened on July 19, 1900. It bears the name of the Gare de Lyon and is located below the boulevard Diderot to the east of the rue de Lyon. It originally consisted of a 4-lane around two central docks. On 28 July to 17 December 1906, the most south receives provoisoirement the terminus of the line just turned 5 in deadlock since the station Quai de la Rapée pending its extension and correspondence to the Bastille station.
