The station Rue de la Pompe is opened in 1922. This street of the ancient village of Passy appeared on the archives of 1730 as a path along the walls of the castle de La Muette. It led to a door of the enclosure encircling the Bois de Boulogne. Appointed, the old way, it was transformed in the late eighteenth century street and took the name of the pump that fed the same chateau de la Muette.
