The Rue des Boulets station is opened in 1933. Originally named Rue des Boulets - Rue de Montreuil, then Boulets - Montreuil, simplified name appears on the plans before completely replace the first. The station does not take its present name until 1998. The Rue des Boulets, already known in 1672, is one of the sections of the path of Saint-Denis in Saint Maur.
